Staying at Hotel Malts in Haarlem was a delightful experience during my recent gourmet getaway. The location, just a short train ride from Amsterdam, offered an excellent starting point for exploration, and I found the charm of Haarlem itself captivating. The hosts, Henk and Annemarie, laid a warm foundation for our stay, providing detailed guidance on local attractions and dining options. Breakfast stood out as an experience in itself, reminiscent of fine dining while maintaining a homely feel. Freshly baked croissants and a variety of cheeses set the stage, but the homemade yogurt compote was a highlight worth savoring. Each morning, the dining area buzzed with lively conversations, as guests sampled an array of delicious toppings and enjoyed the simple pleasure of well-brewed coffee. Having access to tea and fruit throughout the day further enhanced our stay. The convenience of being within walking distance to local shops and cultural spots added to the appeal.
